A leading expert in the area of organisational resilience has been awarded a fellowship from the .
Professor David Denyer, Professor of Leadership and Organisational Change at Cranfield School of Management, was one of just four people given the prestigious award at the organisation’s 2018 conference last month. In total, the Academy has around 80 fellows.
Professor Denyer was recognised for his sustained contribution to scholarship in the international business and management community, and for services to the Academy.
He said: “I am delighted and honoured to have been recognised by my peers in this way, and I am grateful to those who supported my nomination. I look forward to continuing to work closely with BAM in future in this enhanced role.”
Professor Lynette Ryals, Director of Cranfield School of Management, said: “I would like to congratulate David on his achievement. He is a real asset to the School and is leading our thinking in the way we teach organisational resilience to our students. It is fantastic to see him recognised by his peers for the work he does.”
As well as teaching on Cranfield School of Management’s management and leadership Master’s degrees, Professor Denyer works closely with businesses seeking to build their capabilities for change, leadership, resilience and reliability. He helps senior leaders to establish strategic direction and deliver sustained performance improvement. In 2016, Professor Denyer became a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.
