Contact Elizabeth Honer CB
Background
Elizabeth Honer is a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield School of Management. A former CEO of the Government Internal Audit Agency, with previous senior roles in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the Houses of Parliament, she has a decade of service at board level. She brings a wealth of experience in leading people and organisations in complex multi-stakeholder environments. Elizabeth gained an MSc in Managing Organisational Performance from Cranfield School of Management in 2009, receiving the Director’s Prize. She has since qualified as a public finance accountant (CPFA) and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA). In 2024, she was appointed Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in King’s Birthday Honours, for public service.
Current activities
Elizabeth is pursuing a portfolio career as a non-executive director and strategy consultant in the public, commercial and not-for-profit sectors. She has extensive expertise in strategy development and implementation, organisational performance, governance and risk management. Within these areas, she focuses on the importance of ethics, values and culture in driving organisational success.
