Background
Jowita Zyga is a PhD Researcher in Centre for Defence Chemistry (Cranfield Defence and Security). She obtained her BEng degree in Biomedical Engineering (specialisation: Biomechanical Engineering) from WrocÅ‚aw University of Science and Technology, Poland. For her Bachelor's thesis she chose to focus on Additive Manufacturing of polymers, which ultimately led her to pursue a PhD in Addtive Manufacturing of Reactive Materials in ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥.
Research opportunities
Jowita's research focuses on Additive Manufacturing of Energetic Materials, with a particular interest in powder AM techniques.
Current activities
Jowita is currently investigating rheological properties of powders, to establish how those properties translate to powder's suitability of powder 3D printing. Through such, she is hoping to establish appropriate powder handling and processing techniques that would enable safe and reliable dry powder printing of energetics.
