Background
Orisawayi Abimbola Oluwatayo is a PhD researcher under the supervision of Dr. Sameer Rahatekar and Prof. Krzysztof Koziol, focusing on the "Development of Electrospinning/Electrospun Nanomaterial-Based Membranes for Gas Separation and Water Treatment in the Oil and Gas Industries." As a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Okitipupa, Abimbola enriches his academic portfolio with extensive research experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria (2012) and a master's degree in production engineering from The Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure, Nigeria (2017). In 2019, he was a scholarship recipient for a research programme at Nanjing Tech University, China, exploring advanced functional materials.
Abimbola's professional affiliations include Corporate Membership in the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and memberships in the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), the Water Institute of South Africa (WISA), the International Society for Engineering (IAENG), and the Royal Society of Chemistry. His scholarly contributions span mechanical, production, manufacturing, and industrial engineering, with significant publications on nanomaterials and sustainable hybrid natural material biodegradable polymer composites. Recognised for his academic prowess, Abimbola has been admitted to ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ for a PhD programme and awarded a full PhD scholarship by the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF)
